Branding yourself and your blog with Avatar

Blog is the easy way for personal branding in web 2.0. Personal branding is about branding yourself. It is about your own identity. With the increase of social sites, you can brand yourself with avatars(The small image you use to identify your profile).
IBM and Linden Lab (Creators of Second Life) are working on creating universal avatar standards that will enable our cartoon stand-ins to shuffle unimpeded from one virtual world to the next. There lies a big business after Avatars.
Avatars will be the next important issue of Web 2.0. People will die to create their own unique avatars after an year. Why not we do it now? Lets create a unique avatar for your blog and for your social network profiles.
Easy way to create your own Avatars:
I used to have Prince Arthas (A character from Warcraft game) as my avatar for many days. Later I decided to create a unique avatar and contacted a graphic designer at DP forum. His price for creating a unique avatar is around $65 which I’m not ready to afford. So I searched for free avatar generators and then comes Zwinky. Zwinky is a unique type of social network which is similar to second life. You can create nice avatars with zwinky. All you have to do is just download zwinky tool to your PC, register an account and play with it. i created my avatar with Zwinky. Not exactly. But to a certain extent, Internet is for porn. The adult industry is a huge money making industry around Internet. There is a very big market for adult products. I know some bloggers still use porn images to drive traffic from Google Images. Porn! Porn! Porn! everywhere! Okay. It may be anything! I want to show you an interesting video I found at youtube. The power of being Viral

I saw many people talking about the power of viral marketing or word of mouth marketing. I never experienced its power until I started my DoFollow blog search engine.When I launched BacklinkSpot by Jan 18, I just posted about it at DP forum, V7n forum and NamePros forum. With lots of webmasters around these forums, I received around 2800 hits till now, which is not bad for new site with no big marketing.
The main reason for the hit of BacklinkSpot is that, this site is a viral content. As coined by sethgodin, Viral content is,
- Easy to understand
- People want it to spread
- People believe that spreading it will enhance their power (reputation, income, friendships) or their peace of mind
- the effort necessary to send the idea is less than the benefits

Being viral will get you lot of backlinks and it will get you traffic for longterm. Usually top 10, top 100 type blog posts will be viral. Even I got a viral post in my blog at Strongest posts of top make money online blogs. This post was stumbled by Emoms and got lots of comments from top bloggers. Unfortunately, when I posted the article, my server went down and everything messed for around 2 months. I’m preparing my next viral content and will post it soon! Do you have any experience with viral content?
Will Microsoft beat Google with its Yahoo merger?

I think you know about Microsoft’s bid over Yahoo for $44.6 billion. Will the big M beat the Google god with the merger?
Personally I think it is hard to beat Google. Microsoft is a rich kid and yahoo has some talents but both of them lack in innovation compared to Google. Innovation is the only key to get success in this web 2.0. But Microsoft is not a weak opponent. There will be an interesting fight for us to see.
If the deal goes true then the next thing Microsoft will do is the integration of their duplicate services.
Yahoo Mail + Hotmail Vs Gmail
Ad Center + YPN Vs Adsense (We’re going to enjoy with this)
Yahoo Messenger + Windows Messenger Vs Gtalk and this goes.
Google has the best Search Engine Algorithm. Still Live search and Yahoo search are crap. They need to improve their search engine algorithm to make a hit. The main problem with Yahoo and Microsoft is that they are releasing immature new products to compete Google without mastering their main product - “Search Engine”.
Yahoo too has its own best products. I know lots people who looks for stock market information at Yahoo finance. Still Yahoo is the No.1 site receiving lots of hits per day according to Alexa. But, Yahoo has been facing a loss for straight 8 quarters. Hope this deal will come true may be because of this loss.
If this merger become true then we’re going to get enjoy quality products from both these companies.

Yahoo.is - A yahoo domain is for sale at ebay!

When I searched for domains at ebay, I saw yahoo.is for sale with a price tag of $100,000. This domain is worth nothing because of the Trademark issues. The listing will be soon taken away from ebay and the owner of yahoo.is will get mails from lawyers of Yahoo. If you think like this, then you’re wrong.
Trademark does not apply to a domain name. Even Adsense.com didn’t belong to google for a very long time but it is a trademark of google. They had to buy it.
Trademarks issues will not affect the domain names. For instance, if you own Microsoft.com, Billgates can’t be able sue you unless you claim that it is the official site of Microsoft. So, the owner of yahoo.is will not get any troubles unless he runs a search engine with this domain or have a copycat logo of yahoo.com.
The owner of yahoo.is can make a lump sum only if he sells the domain to Yahoo Inc. He may even get the $100,000 from Yahoo. Lets wait and see!
So this is the time to realize that domaining is an easy way to make money online. All you need to make money with domaining is just some creativity.
How I got Technorati rank 1

How I got Technorati Rank 1? I don?t know. On August 04, IST 10.30 pm, when I looked at my Technorati rank I was shocked. I?m ranked No.1 with just 32 authorities :w00t: . When I clicked the top 100 button near the rank it leads to a page where the original top 100 blogs exists. It was Engadget at the Top 1 position with 29,988 authorities. I think there is an error with Technorati ranking algorithm or it may be a message from God to me that my blog will soon reach Rank 1.
When I saw the rank for other blogs all blogs are ranked 1. Whats wrong with Technorati? :angry:
