Now you?ve a website ready with adsense and you?re making money from it. What you did till now to generate income from adsense is just Copy & Paste the ad code and placed it in your website. Right?

The Color of the Ad matters

Match the adsense ads to the theme of your website. Keep the background of the ad as your website?s background. Remove the border of the Ad. Match the color of the links to the rest of the links in your website. This tweak will greatly improve your clickthroughs.

Ad placement

After tweaking the color of the ad, you?ve to place your ads in correct position.

  • Place the ads at the top of any page. This will make a great visibility to your ads.
  • Use large rectangle ads in-between the content. This is a proven format for high CTRs. Because the ads looks like normal webpage links.
  • Keep the link units appear in your header.
  • Use the referral buttons along the sidebar.

Most of the people are not serious about the income potential of Ad-Units. If you have an ad unit with 4 topics then you?re serving 4X10=40 ads. If any of your visitor click on the ad unit, then there are more chances for him/her to click on any one ad among the 10ads displayed. Just give a try with Ad-Units and see its income potential. I suggest you this because this trick worked fine for me.

Making money from Search

Webmasters use this rarely. Because the chances for a visitor to search from your website is very less. Don?t think like this. If a visitor searches from your site then your ads will be displayed till that session ends. So if he/she searches 1 time or 10 times in google, the ads served will be yours. So give a try to search box.
